What is a chaser?

A chaser is a thin young, usually smooth, guy who likes bigger guys. It can mean chubby chaser, or bear chaser. Some like em younger, some like em older.

What is a bear?

A bear is a big husky hairy gay man (no longer a boy). Bears can be fairly big, or just a bit husky, either way they have to have some meat on their bones and some hair on their chests.

What is a lesbian bear?

A lesbian bear is a bear who likes other bears. Usually they are less attractive as the bears who like chasers, and 7 times our of 10 hate chasers out of jealousy and/or stupidity. They usually call anyone who isn't like them a twink with disdain, and act like they are the only ones who should be allowed in the bear community. They also like to hit on bears who are not into them and act like it's ok, but if a chaser hits on them they are complete and total assholes.

What is a muscle bear?

A muscle bear is a complete asshole who is too busy doing X and drinking bottled water to have a coherent conversation. But really, muscle bears are muscular hairy guys who also wanted to belong.

A cub is a young bear, usually a guy under 30 who is husky and hairy.

What is an otter/admirer/wolf?

These are guys who used to be chasers or people who want to "stand out" and are usually older and hairier than they used to be.

What is a sash queen?

A sash queen is a guy who competes in pageants and such to win a title like "Mr. Hot Bear In The Back Woods Of Who The Fuck Cares." They usually wear their sashes with their title printed and decorated out to the bars and to other events, and always do the "Ms. America" wave when they are announced.

What is a bear run?

A bear run is a convention of bears held all over the world. The biggest USA bear runs are TBRU in Dallas, IBR in San Francisco, and Bear Bust in Orlando. Usually a big party of bears and the people who love them including lots of drinking, eating, and sex if you are a skank. ;)

What is bear night?

Bear night is the night that the bear/leather bar has for bears. Usually there is a drink special or some sort of sash-queeny like contest.

What is a beer bust?

A beer bust is usually on a Sunday (sometimes Saturday) afternoon and the bar provides cheap beer so all the shirtless guys get drunk and do naughty trashy things. Depending on what part of the country you are in, you either pay a flat cover and get all you can drink of really cheap nasty horse piss like beer, or you pay $.50 to a $1.00 to get pretty disgusting spit tasting beer. Or you can pay happy hour prices for good beer/liquor.

Usually a big event for "muscle bears," who like to take over and act like its their party, while they stand in their cliques and grr at each others' fake tanned, ridiculous tribal tattooed shirtless bodies and laugh at how awesome they think they are.

Where do I meet people?

You can meet them online, there are several bear sites including bear411, bearwww, biggercity, etc etc... Also you can get off your lazy ass and go out to the bar once in a while. Or you can go to bear runs, or you can get caught by the police sucking dick in the park, either way there's plenty of options.

How do you like the bear community?

I like the bear community but have some frustrations. I think that people need to quit treating chasers with such disrespect, we love bears just as much as the next guy. And bear drag is not hot.

What is bear drag?

Bear drag is a basic uniform a lot of people adhere to. Whether it is camo shorts with a sleeveless flannel shirt, or hiking boots and shorts and a tank top.

Are you a member of any organizations?

Yes I am a member of the Dallas Bears, the DFW Federal Club, as well as the Diablos Rugby Club. Anything I say is not representative of any organizations I belong to, they are solely my opinion.

Where do you lean politically?

I am a die hard Democrat, I don't fuck around with worthless independents and idiotic bible thumping, warmongering Republicans. I can be quite conservative on some issues, though.
